Setting the type of scanning

After you've chosen the scanner you want to use, the Scanner window appears:

Use the buttons at the bottom of the window to set the type of scanning you wish to perform:

• The BW / Color button sets whether you are scanning in color or in black and white.

• The Auto / Manual button sets the feed type.

• The Settings button leads to a Scanner Options dialog box that lets you make scanner-specific adjustments. See Adjusting your Scanner Settings.
